As a dance artist I am interested in presenting movement within a surrealistic narrative context that still explores why we want to move our bodies. I investigate movement from an emotional and physical standpoint, exploring my personal history and subconscious stylistic choices, often using music as a means of inquiry to foster a deeper connection to my own impulses and responses. Music acts as an instigator, inspiration, and motivator. The musician’s physical presence and role inside my work is equally important, integrally connected to the flow of time and the organization of space.

Current musical collaborators on various projects include the bagpipes player and composer Matthew Welch, cornetist and composer Taylor Ho Bynum, and vocalist Anne Rhodes and composer and electronics player Carl Testa.
